What will the Trumps Farm EfW look like?
The new facility has been designed to be sympathetic with its surroundings. A high quality architectural design will enable it to become an integral part of the semi-rural landscape and woodland of the area.
- The main structure will be 170 metres long. It will vary from 20-70 metres wide and from 18-40 metres high. The 85m chimney stack will be integrated into the facility, 45m of which will be above the building.
- The building design is shaped to reflect the surrounding landscape.
- The main curved roof will be planted with a low maintenance self-sustaining sedum moss which will provide an additional habitat for plants, insects and birds.

- Translucent panels will provide light within the building and will change in appearance in fluctuating light conditions, day and night.
- An on-site visitor centre will enable people to see how waste is managed at the EfW facility. SWM's Waste Minimisation Team will also provide information on how to reduce, reuse and recycle waste.
- New landscape areas will be created around the boundaries of the EfW facility together with enhancement of the existing trees. Landscaping comprising native trees and shrub planting between the site boundary and the buildings will soften the impact of the proposed facility.
